I wanted to take my 2 year swimming this weekend, So, I go here http://www.ottawa.ca/residents/parksrecreation/swimming/schedules/indexen.html and I do a search... and read the result. the formatted table comes back, perhaps this data should be released a part of a public API and the website should be constrained to use the public API.

Similar data exists for the library programs. http://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/main/program

and probably other city facilities. In all cases, taking this already public data, and making it part of an API, for both internal and external developers would probably be a good thing.
